Privacy Policy

The short version

You upload contractor bids and inspection reports. We analyze them on your behalf. We don't sell your data, we don't share your documents with contractors, and we don't use your bid data to train AI models or build profiles for third parties.

1. What we collect

When you use TrustDavis, we collect: (a) documents you upload — contractor bids and inspection reports; (b) your email address or phone number when you request a report or create an account; (c) basic usage data (pages visited, report type requested, timestamp) to improve the product; (d) payment information, which is handled entirely by Stripe — we never store your card number.

2. How we use it

We use your uploaded documents to generate your analysis report and for nothing else. We use your contact information to deliver your report and, if you opt in, to notify you of relevant product updates. We do not use your documents to train AI models. We do not sell your data to contractors, lenders, insurance companies, or any third party.

3. Who sees your data

Your documents are processed by our analysis pipeline (which uses third-party OCR and AI services under strict data processing agreements) and stored in encrypted cloud storage. Only you can access your reports through your account. We do not share your bid documents or report outputs with any contractor, vendor, or third party unless you explicitly choose to share them.

4. Contractor confidentiality

We use contractor bid data only to generate your analysis. We do not share your bids or analysis results with the contractors who submitted them, with contractor associations, or with any marketplace or aggregation service. Davis's recommendations are built on your bids and market data — not kickbacks or contractor relationships.

5. Data retention

Your uploaded documents and reports are retained for 12 months from the date of your last activity, after which they are deleted unless you have an active account. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@trustdavis.ai.

6. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We use Supabase for database and storage, Stripe for payments, and AWS Textract for OCR — all under industry-standard security agreements. We do not store payment card data.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management (keeping you signed in). We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with ad networks. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent sign-in from working.

8. Your rights

You have the right to: access a copy of your data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; opt out of any marketing communications. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@trustdavis.ai.

9. Changes to this policy

We'll notify you of material changes to this policy by email if you have an account, or by posting a notice on our website at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
