Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once per report. There are no monthly fees, no membership tiers, and no recurring charges.
What if my project is large — does price change?
No. $199 whether it's a $20,000 bathroom or a $250,000 renovation. We looked hard at charging more for bigger projects and decided against it: the only number we'd have to price from is the bid total, and the whole point of Davis is that the bid total isn't trustworthy until Davis explains it. You'd also only learn your price after uploading, which is the worst possible moment to surprise someone.
What's included?
Everything Davis does. There's one paid report — no middle tier, nothing held back for a higher price. Davis reads every bid line by line, compares them against local market pricing, finds what's missing, tells you where you stand before signing, and gives you the negotiation language to use.
How many bids can I upload?
Five are included. Most homeowners get three, so there's room if a late quote arrives. Beyond five it's $29 per additional bid — that's the only usage charge, and it exists because each bid is real analysis work. Free BidScan covers up to three.
Do I need multiple bids to get a report?
No. Davis works with whatever you have. More bids give Davis more to compare — that's where scope gaps surface — but a single bid still produces a full analysis against local market pricing.
